Being around the local circuit for a while now, lo-fi indie coniseurs Gorgeous Bully have always been on our radar and as we wait with baited breath on the next chapter for the band, they spoke to the blog ahead of their show with Deco Records this week.
MIMR: Great to have you on the blog, what’s the latest with the band?
GB: Residing in a state of limbo currently to be honest but really I’m just trying to figure out what I want our next record to be.
MIMR: We’re thrilled to see part of Deco Records double dayer gigs coming up, what’s been your most memorable gig as a band?
GB: We’ve kinda of been off the circuit for a while now and trying to remember anything is a chore but our last show with our old drummer at Old Blue Last is something I’ll never forget.
MIMR: You’ve released a fair few records now as a band, has the production method you’ve undertaken on these changed much over the years?
GB: Is it bad to say not really – we’ve kinda consistently been a bedroom self produced band. Still after all these years never been in a studio for better or for worse.
MIMR: What’s your favourite venues in Manchester to play?
GB: Oh I don’t know, Deaf institute is always a blast but The Castle always turns into a grotty sweatbox and you can’t really beat that.
MIMR: Thanks a lot for chatting with us, how can people follow you on social media and listen to some music?
