MIMR Band Chat: Noontide Sleeper

As we get ready for 2 days of amazing live music this week courtesy of Deco Records, MIMR spoke to one of the newest bands on the bill, Noontide Sleeper

MIMR: Great to have you on the blog, who are Noontide Sleeper and was it clear from the start what direction your music would take?

NS: Noontide Sleeper is a very new project, having only just risen from the ashes. Our musical direction has been described as Folk Noir and Apocalypse Banjo.

MIMR: Good to see you on the bill for our good friends Deco Records next gig coming up, what can we expect from one of your live shows?

NS: As this is our first live show you can expect to see something previously unseen by anyone ever before! It will be the best show we have ever done.

MIMR: What was your earliest musical memory?

NS: Bursting out of the womb to the sound of Modest Mussorgsky’s Night On Bald Mountain.

MIMR: Where are your favourite hangout places in Manchester

NS: Anywhere underground and dimly lit, the Crown & Kettle pub, and at the sturdy feet of the Engles statue.

MIMR: Been a pleasure talking to you on MIMR, how can people follow you on social media and listen to some music?

NS: Facebook: @NoontideSleeper
