Another exciting band to be discovered by MIMR recently are the raucous sound created by Swine and they look like there ready to take over many stages with their rip-rawing, energetic performances.
We spoke to the band ahead of tonight’s gig with Deco Records about the band and festivals
MIMR: Thrilled to have Swine on the blog, how’s your 2019 been so far and what can we expect for the rest of the year?
Daniel: Thank you, we’ve got a few gigs still lined up for 2019 and hopefully looking to add some more throughout the year. Were a looking at releasing a single and maybe an EP.
MIMR: How best would you describe your music and when writing a track what process within the band takes place?
Daniel: Id say were more on the heavier side of punk rock, but its up for debate. Usually, one of us will come to rehearsal with a riff that we like and we work round it and create a basic song from it, then we add in stuff and take out stuff till were happy with the finished product.
MIMR: We’re really looking forward to seeing you play live, do you ever have any pre-gig nerves?
Michael: sometimes, i do but i just listen to Bat Out of Hell by Meatloaf and im set.
Stephen: I don’t really get any, i just pray I can hear the rest of the band through the monitors.
MIMR: What’s been the most memorable gig you’ve played as a band so far?
Daniel: Well its between when we played with one of our favourite bands, Strange Bones, we were lucky enough to get picked in an online competition, it was surreal… still is. The other would have to be when we played Band On The Wall for a Manchester Bombing remembrance gig as it was for a great cause and the whole crowd were giving 110%.
MIMR: Festival season is just roumd the corner, if you had to share the main stage with any bands past or present who would they be and why?
Michael: id have to say The Pogues, would be a reyt good laugh, there would be rivers of booze.
Stephen: I’d say Primus for bands to share just because they’re so unique and unconventional.
MIMR: Thanks for chatting with us on the blog, good luck with this year, how can people follow you on social media and check out some music?
Daniel: Cheers mate.
