MIMR REVIEW: Chris Tavener

‘I’m Sorrdy Bi’m Drunnk’ EP

Released back in May, Chris Tavener latest offerings seek to gaze into the realistic goings-on of modern day youth culture and in his uniquely-charismatic way, Chris achieves this to a plom.

Throughout the EP the satrical songwriter pulls off his delightful folk melodies in a joyous manner, starting with opener ‘Super Cool Sadie’ which whistles along showing off his infectious lyrical stylings and is the perfect start to the EP.

Another favourite of the record is the closing track ‘I’m Better Than You’ which was released as a single earlier in the year to a great response. Chris effortlessly showcases his vocal harmonies even more on this track and it’s hard not to be captured into his charming style of songwriting.

The EP is a delight throughout and Chris has with ease successfully made a group of songs which you cant help but smile too and thats all you can ever ask for, seeing him live is a must too, see it for yourself very soon.
