MIMR Playlist March 12th

Kidsmoke  ‘The Reason I Jump’

The joyous return of Manchester/wrexham band Kidsmoke was made even more official this week with the announcement of their new EP ‘So Long, Emptiness’ which is out 3rd April. After a time away last year to tweak a few things, Lance and the guys have delivered us with a refreshing and glorious track, full of vibrant guitars and a funky overall sound, a real song to dance the night away. This bodes well for the EP and surely paves the way for future successes, if anyone deserves this then it’s Kidsmoke

Babe Punch  ‘Snake Tongue’

Next on this week’s Playlist are a all-girl five piece from Nottingham called Babe Punch. This is their debut single and its up there as being one of the best debut songs I’ve heard for a long while. Its classic Alt-Rock with heavy guitars and impressive vocals. It’s Loud, alive and full of attitude, hard to believe that these girls are so young but can produce this gem of a track. See if you can take the full of force of Babe Punch!

Dinosaur Pileup  ’11:11′

The Leeds trio are back with their new single which is taken from their up-coming 3rd album also named ‘Eleven Eleven’ released 18th May. As a avid fan of their previous creations, I’m pleased to announce that this continues the great work of their previous records. It’s another great rock tune, with glorious riffs and heavy beats. This album has all the makings of being one of the best rock albums of 2015 on this evidence, I will say no more, apart from good job!

Wolf Alice  ‘Giant Peach’

Finally we can look forward to full length release from the wonderful Wolf Alice. ‘My Love Is Cool’ is released 22nd June and ‘Giant Peach’ being the lead single and it certainly does not disappoint. Explosive instrumental start with a gritty, gloomy tones and then bursts into life with excellent vocal range and heavy guitars. It’s what we have all been waiting for and Wolf Alice look certain to live up to the increasing hype surrounding them, 2015 is going to be their year

Love Buzzard  ‘Heaven’s Got An Electric Fence’

Finally on this week’s Playlist we have London rockers and Friends of MIMR Love Buzzard. This track is a personal favourite from their recent EP and now has a fantastic video to accompany it. It just sums up this duo to a tee, electrifying sound from start to finish, stomping beats and thrill a second tempo, unrivalled by few bands around at the moment. MIMR is making it a mission to get Love Buzzard seen and heard, take heed of the warning though to strap yourself in but you will enjoy the ride!
